Yves Deville was born in Luxembourg in 1981. At the age of 7 Yves became a student at the “Conservatoire de Musique de Luxembourg”, where he studied drums and percussion for 15 years until successfully graduating in 2003.

At the age of 16 Yves received an offer from an American blues trio “The Sayre Brothers Blues Band” to join them as their full time drummer. Yves worked with them for almost a decade.

Besides playing with the “Sayre Brothers” Yves played and formed several blues and rockabilly bands while also becoming involved in other styles such as country and New Orleans jazz. Yves was a member of such bands as “Ten Strike”, “Dave White & The Bad Luck Cats”, “Little John & The Cadillacs”, “The Boogie Workers”, “Lata Gouveia”, “The Greasemonkeys” and many others. He also had the pleasure to jam with such blues greats as Tino Gonzales, Sugar Ray, Fred Chapelier and Tom Principato.

In 2007, Yves became the official drummer for Irish blues-man Carl Wyatt and his band “The Delta Voodoo Kings”. With this band Yves played regular international tours, recorded several albums and appeared on many television shows such as: France 3 (France), Riv 54 (France), Mirabelle (France), RTE1 (Irelande). Through this band he gained much notability within the international blues scene.

In 2010 Yves starts a new project with former band mates (Lucas Ferraz, Fred Baretto and Dan Fastro). With the support of former “Guns’n’Roses” guitar player “Slash” it didnt take long before the band “Porn Queen” became renowned within the European rock scene. Besides having played some big European rock festivals “Porn Queen” had the chance to play in a sold out Zénith venue in Paris as the support act for “Slash”. During the month of march 2012 Porn Queen will be on a European tour, playing 16 concerts in 12 countries with former “Mr Big” and “Poison” guitarist Richie Kotzen.

Later in 2010 Yves joined Belgiums N°1 rockabilly band “Smooth & The Bully Boys”. After a year and over a hundred concerts later the Bully Boys had the pleasure to open up for “Brian Setzer’s” sold out Luxembourg show.

After building up an impressive drumming portfolio Yves became the drummer of choice for several American musicians touring Europe. In September 2011 he toured with Hollywood actor and blues musician Jake La Botz. A European tour is also planned with legendary rockabilly band “Hot Rod Walt and the Psycho Devilles” for September 2012.

At the end of 2011 Archie Lee Hooker the nephew of blues legend John Lee Hooker invited Yves to become the drummer of his new project. For Yves this is an exceptional occasion to join John Lee Hookers old band the “Coast to Coast Blues Band”.
