Rob Kloet is the founding member (1974) of NITS, a much acclaimed band from The Netherlands, with whom he recorded some 25 albums. Internationally the band had a big hit with the song “In the Dutch Mountains” from the album with the same name. NITS are still recording and touring, their latest studio album (2013) being “Malpensa”. 2014 is the year of their 40th anniversary, celebrated with special concerts and the release of a box with 3 cd’s and dvd with video clips, a special Swiss 3cd release “ISN’T NITS”, a television documentary film “Over de grenzen, 40 jaar NITS” and a concert tour. Rob Kloet does solo programs, improvised music, composes (Drumset with Dog, Gas & Dust), gives workshops and is involved in cross media projects. Rob Kloet uses two different Vistalite drum sets, which he refers to as “the small blue” (22,14,12,14,16) and the “big orange” (26,14,14,16,18).
