Born into a musical family in Germany, Paul moved to Los Angeles to study music at the prestigious L.A. Music Academy right after finishing school in Germany. He studied with Ralph Humphrey,Joe Porcaro, Mike Shapiro, Dave Weckl and Mark Schulman amongst others. In L.A. Paul quickly made a name for himself playing with many of the greats such as John Pena, Russel Ferrante, Eric Marienthal, Gary Meek, Andy Suzuki, Carlitos del Puerto and guitar prodigy Bryan Baker. Furthermore, Paul worked as a drum department teacher at the L.A. Music Academy for 2 years and continues to teach until today in workshop, masterclass and drum clinic format and as band coach and private teacher. In 2007 Paul moved back to Europe and is now based in Copenhagen, Denmark and Hamburg, Germany. In 2009 he has joined German Platinum selling Pop Act STANFOUR after receiving the call to record songs for their sophomore album “Rise and Fall”. Since his relocation to Europe Paul has been an in demand studio and touring drummer in Germany in the Pop and Jazz scene. His drumming has been described as “musical, powerful, articulate and unique”.
